Energy in mountain areas

In 2009, under the leadership of Irealp, Euromontana members worked together to develop a position paper on energy in mountain areas.  

This position paper includes:  

• A state of play on the potential contribution of mountain areas to the EU objectives in terms of energy production and consumption.
• 9 recommendations to better support the development of energy efficiency measures and the use of the potential of renewable energy sources in mountain areas.
