Climate change adaptation: Community of Practice launched for mountain stakeholders!

Mountains are hard hit by climate change. Our territories are warming faster and stronger than other regions, calling for rapid and comprehensive adaptation. Although action in favour of adaptation is already in progress in many places, there are still a lot of efforts to be done in mountain areas – including beyond the agriculture and tourism sectors, as highlighted by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
In this context, we are pleased to announce that we are launching the MountResilience Community of Practice on Climate Change Adaptation, a collaborative network of organisations and projects working to build more resilient mountain communities. MountResilience is an Horizon Europe project dedicated to strengthening the resilience of European regions and communities situated in mountainous areas, in which Euromontana is a partner.
The MountResilience Community of Practice (CoP) is your opportunity to:
- Learn from peers and experts by participating in sessions aimed at sharing knowledge and good practices, and building capacity to address climate change in mountain areas
- Connect with a wide range of practitioners and organisations working on climate adaptation in mountain regions
- Discover the latest findings and tools from the MountResilience project
- Contribute to policy dialogues to shape the future climate adaptation policies.
Upcoming sessions
To kick start the CoP, we have put together a series of thematic webinars for 2025. Mark your calendars!
